Our Polo Club is relatively young, starting somewhere around 2009 with less than a handful of players. Like all Hardcourt Bike Polo clubs, Lancaster United played in parking garages, middle school tennis courts, and recently in roller hockey rinks outside of town.
Since its establishment, the LCBP club has grown to nearly 20 active players of all skill levels, promoting individual development in a supportive (sarcastic, yes, but supportive) atmosphere.
If you’re in the Lancaster area and want to get involved, you can find us on Facebook (Lancaster United Bike Polo). If you’re from another PA team – yes, we’d love to play. If you’re from Jersey: yes, we all think you’re that way.

hey,
My name is Peter Bezek and I live in york. Currently, i go to Kutztown University. I have a windsor fixed gear and I would love to try playing bike polo. When do you guys play? also, if i can join you to play, do you have any extra mallets? Thank you
Peter Bezek
Hi Peter,
We’d love to have you come out and give it a try. Your bike would work fine – just keep in mind that you should use a bike you don’t care too much about.
We play every Wednesday and weekend (recently Sundays). I’d recommend you join the Lancaster City Bike Polo page on Facebook so you can see when we’re playing – but seeing as though you’re a Yorker, make sure you get in touch with them to be among your compatriots.
Let me know if you have any other questions, I’m excited to meet ya!
sounds great! do you have any extra mallets? i could borrow?
Absolutely. You just bring your bike and a helmet, we’ll take care of the rest.
I was watching some bike polo videos online and it seems like the bikes get pretty thrashed. i was considering using an old bike rather than my fixed gear, so i dont destroy my fixie. is that a good idea?
Yes! Don’t bring something you love, as it will get banged up. Polo doesn’t require a fixed, either- I roll a single speed and probably always will. It comes down to preference.
sounds good where is fairview?

Cant wait to wheatland! When are you guys going to start playing at wheatland?
We are getting the final ideas together on how to build the boards, but hopefully soon. We miss seeing you around, Carter!
