Yesterday’s polo adventures were jam packed full of new bike parts and visitors. And heat. Holy moly the heat.
We had Alias and Anne (maybe Ann. I don’t know) from D.C. come up, along with COMO transplant Nick Kruse. It’s fun to have so many guests, as it gives the otherwise average day an inter-club flair. Then again, it meant we had about 14 or 15 people trying to play polo, and staying still and sweating is one of the least fun things ever.
but I complain too much: it was fun to play with new folks. And by new I mean Ann(e) and Nick, because Alias and Didn’t play one game together.
On top of that, I got some new Resist Nomad tires on my bike, and it makes me feel like a monster truck. I’m digging the beefy nature of the tires and think my bike was made for them.
You may ask yourself “self, why did Crusher give up his tires?”
Well, it’s because Rod needed to have a different set of tires for his brand new bike! (again, don’t click on that picture unless you want your whole screen taken up by it). Horse picked up this little Peruvian beauty at the SE regional qualifier for a steal, and from there Rod made a dream bike. He looks faster/more able on it as well, and I’m quite sure it’s a game changer.
It was an all around great day of play, which I would write much more about if I had the time to. But I don’t, so there.
