It’s easy for me to forget about these tires. I’ve had them on for 6 months and they still have a ton of life left in them. That’s about 6 times the lifespan of the tires I used to run on my polo bike. I wanted to write a technical review, but you can find those on Google, and the Panaracer website http://www.panaracer.com/urban.php, where you’ll see all the technical terms and numbers that go along with it.
What matters to me is real world results, these tires just will not stop living. And unlike other high mileage tires, they grip like a suction cup. They come in 700c and 26” sizes, have a Kevlar bead, weigh about 400-500g depending on size, are about $40 (average) a piece, and aren’t ugly. I can’t really see what’s left to desire.
Tires are expensive. It’s hard for me to drop $80-100 on two tires for a bike I beat the hell out of with passion. So if I’m going to do it, I want to NOT have to do it again for a good amount of time.
If your threads are bare, check out the RiBMo’s. I seriously doubt you’ll be disappointed. And if you are, you’ll have a good amount of time before you have to find a replacement.
